            Helping to realise the potential of biotechnology improvements to current manufacturing technologies.

            We represent academic research and industrial R&D, and processes from design and inception, through development and scale-up to full implementation. We aim to focus on the science and engineering that enables biological process to succeed, and the links between different types of process. Our members work on application areas such as pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, bulk chemicals, medical devices, biofuels, biocatalysis, food and drink processing and plant biotechnology. We encompass disciplines from molecular biology, systems and synthetic biology to applied microbiology, biochemical engineering and process engineering.
